A major crash reported near San Antonio has shutdown an entire stretch of highway that is causing a detour for drivers headed toward the area. The Seguin Police Department posted on social media that a major crash involving an 18-wheeler happened “earlier this morning on I-10 westbound near N. Austin St.”
“As a result, both eastbound and westbound lanes are currently closed,” the SPD said. “No injuries have been reported. Please seek alternate routes and drive safely while crews work to clear the scene.”

The crash, which was reported at about 3:44 a.m. according to the Texas Department of Transportation website, has caused an entire shutdown of the westbound lanes of I-10 between mile markers 605 and 608 leaving Seguin. All traffic in the area is being detoured at mile marker 610.
As it stands, traffic that remains in the area is moving at a slow pace between of about 11 mile per hour, according to traffic reporting website Sigalert. At the time of writing, there is no word on what caused the crash in the area.
