The Southeastern Conference grind continues for No. 21 Texas (4-2, 1-1) Saturday night as it travels to face Kentucky (2-3, 0-3) at Kroger Field. This will be UT’s first-ever trip to the Kentucky campus, and the Longhorns own a 2-0 lead in an all-time series that featured last year’s 31-14 win in Austin.

Texas A&M fans who stepped away from their TVs at halftime may be in for a surprise when they return to their couches. ESPN opted to move No. 4 Texas A&M’s game against Arkansas – which was delayed for two hours by weather – over to ESPNews and keep the Texas-Kentucky game on ESPN.

As expected, Texas running back CJ Baxter will miss his fourth straight game with a hamstring injury. That leaves junior Quintrevion Wisner, who has received 76.9% of the Longhorns’ non-quarterback rushing attempts in SEC play, as the expected workhorse in the Texas backfield.

Baxter joined offensive linemen Cole Hutson and Connor Stroh, defensive back Xavier Filsaime, receiver Aaron Butler and linebacker Jonathan Cunningham as the players ruled out on Texas’ pregame availability report. Defensive lineman Maraad Watson will be a game-time decision.
