It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s … promotion for a curly-haired superstar? A few Texas residents were surprised to see a bright item in the sky in December 2025, prompting questions over its purpose.
Local TikTok user Tatyana Ramon shared a video of a colorful blimp floating above San Antonio on Saturday, December 27. The clip shows an orange, oval-shaped item soaring above a shrubby part of the city. It boasts two words: “Marty Supreme.”
The user saw it at about 3 p.m., according to their page. At the time, the individual was traveling out of Bulverde and into San Antonio, they told another creator in the comment section. A few other social media users replied with their own glimpses of the blimp.
“I saw it too,” TikToker Erin Elise commented.
Elise was joined by another creator, who claims to have caught sight of it on the same day. It happened around 4Â p.m. while they were driving on Interstate 35, they added. Others on the platform say it passed through Boerne, Mesquite, and Dallas.

Much of the astonishment surrounding the blimp is due to its entertainment and Hollywood ties. The words “Marty Supreme” refer to the lead character of the 2025 film, which stars the award-winning actor Timothée Chalamet (as seen in Little Women and Wonka). It is described as a sports drama that centers on “a young man with a dream no one respects” who “goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness,” per IMDB.
It hit the theaters on Christmas Day, scoring a record-breaking average of $145,913 across six locations in New York City, where Chalamet is from, and Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It marks the best opening weekend release since 2016’s La La Land, a romance featuring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, the outlet reports.
Blimp sightings continued in New Braunfels, roughly 32 miles northeast of San Antonio. Seguin native Chris Larson tells MySA that he and his son saw it on Friday, December 26.
“At that time, we thought it might be the Marty Supreme blimp but didn’t think we would see it in a City like New Braunfels,” Larson said. “As we were driving home later that night, we drove by the New Braunfels airport behind [the Town Center]Â Creekside and saw the blimp lit up and had to stop.”

Larson and his son drove out near the site the following day to check if it was in the same spot. To their surprise, it was. The two of them took photos with it to capture the moment. Larson, who owns a marketing company himself, says he did so because he’s been “very impressed” with the promotion of the film.
“It’s been nothing like a press run for another movie that I’ve ever seen,” Larson said. “I’m very intrigued with companies that do things out of the box.”
Though a self-proclaimed fan of Chalamet, Larson says he isn’t the type to catch every new movie release. However, since seeing the blimp was such a “fun experience,” he says it might just push him to make the trip.
“Seeing things from big movies and pop culture so close to home definitely builds intrigue, and it makes a fun experience just to see it, but also builds excitement for the possibility of a good movie,” Laron said. “I posted a TikTok of seeing it for the first time, and it blew up a little bit, so other people are excited about it too.”
