Scottie Scheffler is taking his impact beyond the PGA Tour and into the heart of Texas junior golf. The world No. 1 and Dallas longtime resident has partnered with the Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) to launch the Randy Smith Junior Tour, a free, inclusive golf circuit designed to give young players access to competitive opportunities without financial barriers.

Named after Scheffler’s longtime coach and mentor, the Randy Smith Junior Tour will host events across North Texas, targeting players aged 6 to 12. According to The Dallas Morning News, the new junior tour will feature 10-12 events in 2026, eliminating entry fees and membership costs. This will make it one of the most accessible junior golf programs in the country.

The report adds that Scheffler’s wife, Meredith, will also be actively involved in the initiative.

“This tour is about giving kids the same gift Randy gave me,” Scheffler said, according to The Dallas Morning News. “He taught me that golf is about more than just scores. It’s about character, respect, and the people who help you along the way. That’s the legacy that Meredith and I are excited to pass on. We are proud to help start the Randy Smith Tour.”
