The Madison County Lady Raiders basketball team got off to a good start at the McDonald’s Shootout on Dec. 27 in Hart County, defeating Seckinger Jaguars.
The team got hot early in the game, outscoring the Jaguars 17-11 in the first quarter. From there, the team fought hard to hold onto their lead, winning by a final score of 43-40.
The Lady Raiders will look to build off their success as the tournament rolls on.
Following the McDonald’s Shootout, the team will resume regular season play with a home meeting against the 7-4 Hart County Bulldogs on Jan. 3 at 3 p.m.
Madison County will then travel to take on the 6-5 Cedar Shoals Jaguars on Jan. 6.
