A 17-year-old girl was killed in a Fort Worth park Monday in a possible double shooting after a fight involving up to 20 people, police said.
Cyanna Boone, 17, died around 2:43 p.m. Monday at a city park in the 1500 block of Liberty Street, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office. Another person, who has not been identified, was also found fatally shot in a vehicle about 3 miles away, according to Fort Worth police.
Evidence suggests the shootings are related, police said.
Officers with the department’s east division first heard shots around 2:13 p.m. while working near the park, according to police.
They later found a person on the ground, believe to be Boone, suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene, the police said.

As officers were investigating that incident, the department received another report of gunfire in the 1700 block of Handley Drive about 2:18 p.m., according to investigators.
Officers found a second victim shot inside a parked vehicle at the location, police said. That person was rushed to a local hospital but died shortly after arrival, according to police.
At the time, police said someone was seen running from the vehicle the victim was found inside. The person was later found at a nearby home. Official did not immediately identify that person or say if they have been arrested.
According to investigators, a group of 15 to 20 people were at the park when an argument escalated into a fight before someone in the crowd pulled out a gun and fired rounds.
Police did not immediately publicly disclose what the argument was about.
