EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — For over 70 years, Jalisco Cafe in El Paso has been renowned for its authentic Mexican food, particularly its world-famous menudo, served every weekend.
This New Year’s Day, the cafe is celebrating World Menudo Day by offering a special giveaway.
Five lucky El Pasoans will win a one-year gift certificate for menudo for two, valid for 52 weekends in 2026.
Since Thanksgiving, locals have been registering for a chance to win.
The cafe will open its doors at 6 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026, with the drawing set for 1 p.m.
