A passenger, identified as Thomas Ramos, 59, of Alice, was ejected during the rollover and pronounced dead at the scene by Jim Wells County Justice of the Peace Precinct 6 Judge Noe Cadena, according to Mallory.
Ramos’ family has been notified, Mallory said.
The 34-year-old male driver was transported to Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice with injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by troopers with the Alice Highway Patrol Office.
