SOCORRO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Officials with the Sheriff’s Department identified the man who died after a shooting in Socorro Saturday night.
Officials identified him as 33-year-old Jose Avila.
Three people were hospitalized following the shooting.
Deputies responded to a call in the 10100 block of Cyan Valley at approximately 10:04 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found three shooting victims, who were taken to local hospitals.
The Sheriff’s Office initially responded to assist the Socorro Police Department.
The investigation has since been taken over by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
Authorities have not released any suspect information or a possible motive.
