In a 16-13 overtime win spearheaded by the Longhorns‘ special teams unit, Manning was constantly harried by the Wildcats’ pass rush. And he struggled mightily with his accuracy.
That translated into a 12-for-27 passing performance for 132 yards. Manning did not account for a touchdown for the first time as the Longhorns’ starter.
He rushed for -1 yards, with the Wildcats effectively bottling up a handful of designed quarterback runs dialed up by Texas coach Steve Sarkisian.
