Four people were injured, including one who remains in critical condition, following a shooting early New Year’s Day outside a Dallas nightclub, according to police.
Dallas police said officers were called around 3:45 a.m. to the area of Empire Central Drive near the northbound Stemmons Freeway after reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, the scene was empty. Police later learned that four victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Authorities have not released the conditions of the other three victims.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred outside Pink House, though police have not publicly confirmed the exact location of the gunfire or how many shooters were involved. No suspects have been identified, and no motive has been announced.
Police have also not said whether the victims and those responsible knew one another.
According to the club’s social media accounts, New Year’s Eve marked the grand opening of a new after-hours event at the venue, which operates at the former site of Safari Dallas. Police have not indicated whether the event was connected to the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
