The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office briefly issued an evacuation order near Ellicott around 1 p.m. Thursday due to a fire at 1200 Dragonman Drive near the Dragonman’s shooting range, according to a social media post from the law enforcement agency.
The area the order encompassed is west of Curtis Road, south of Davis Road, east of Blaney Road and north of Highway 94.
The Ellicott Fire Department is the lead agency handling the fire and the order was lifted about 20 minutes after the Sheriff’s Office ordered residents to evacuate.
