CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Port of Corpus Christi is preparing to swear in two newly appointed commissioners next week, marking a leadership transition for the port’s governing board.
Michael Hunter is scheduled to take the oath of office next Tuesday, and Amanda Torres will be sworn in the following day. Port officials said additional details about both ceremonies are expected to be released ahead of the scheduled dates.
The appointments come as the Port Commission also prepares to select a new chairman later this month.Â
Current Chairman David Engel has reached his term limit and is expected to step down from the role.
Officials said they will provide more information on the upcoming ceremonies and leadership changes as it becomes available.
