Brennan’s is keeping the New Year momentum going with a special brunch available January 1–4. The menu features house standards including fresh oysters, Crabmeat Cheesecake, Eggs Brennan and Gulf Fish Borgne alongside curated wines and classic or seasonal cocktails. A three-course Chef’s Package is $38 and includes Brennan’s Salad, choice of Fried Seafood Combination or Eggs St. Charles and Creole Bread Pudding. Reservations recommended.

Start your weekend with Coffee and Cars at POST HTX, as the East Parking Lot transforms into a showcase of luxury, exotic, classic and custom vehicles. The monthly gathering runs from 9–11 a.m. and invites car lovers and curious visitors alike to stroll among hundreds of machines, chat with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy the downtown morning vibes. Admission is free, and all vehicles are welcome to display in the open section.

The Chopping Block Chef Throwdown at Kingdom Builders Center

Head to The Chopping Block for a culinary showdown as two local chefs go head‑to‑head in a live cook‑off. Guests will watch the action unfold and sample dishes from both competitors while sipping drinks and cheering on their favorites. Tickets ($30.65) are required and include food tastings throughout the event.
