SAN ANTONIO – A man walking along the train tracks suffered minor injuries after a passing train brushed against him.
Around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the scene of a major accident involving a train near Basse Road and McCullough Avenue.
When the first responders arrived, they found the man lying near the side of the tracks. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say that the man had been walking along the train tracks, but refused to move away from the tracks as the train approached, despite a number of warnings/honks by the conductor.
The train stopped and remained at the location until a railroad official arrived, and the investigation was complete. No other injuries were reported.
