LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Police have identified the man killed in a central Lubbock crash Monday morning.
Around 7:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of a car that crashed into a utility pole near 24th and Indiana.
Officers found 57-year-old Daniel Spray inside a passenger car. He died at the scene of the crash.
A 16-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger in a pickup suffered minor injuries.
Crash investigators say it appears the 16-year-old was driving south on Indiana while Spray was traveling north attempting to turn left when the two vehicles collided in the roadway.
The pickup truck left the roadway and struck a utility pole and nearby home.
The crash remains under investigation.
