The Dallas Cowboys (7-8-1) and the New York Giants (3-13) meet Sunday in Week 18 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Cowboys vs. Giants odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.

Dallas snapped a 3-game losing streak in Week 17 with a 30-23 road win over the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys failed to cover as 8.5-point favorites as the Over (50.5) hit. QB Dak Prescott threw for 307 yards and 2 TDs, highlighted by an 86-yard scoring strike to WR KaVontae Turpin. RB Malik Davis added 103 rushing yards.

New York snapped a 9-game losing streak in Week 17 with a 34-10 home win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Giants covered as 3-point favorites as the Over (40) hit. QB Jaxson Dart threw for 207 yards, with WR Wan’Dale Robinson, who is out for Sunday, hauling in 11 catches for 113 yards. Dart added 48 rushing yards and 2 TDs, while the defense forced 2 turnovers and recorded 4 sacks.

The teams met in Week 2 on Sept. 14 in Dallas where the Cowboys earned a 40-37 overtime win, but failed to cover as 5.5-point home favorites as the Over (44.5) hit.

PASS.

The Giants (+154) will play hard and keep this tight, which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.

BET GIANTS +3.5 (-115).

I’m looking to split the difference in this one. I think Dallas wins, but I’m taking the Giants plus the points. We saw this matchup back in Week 2 turn into a 40-37 overtime game, and Dallas still couldn’t cover as the favorite. That trend matters.

The Cowboys are the better team, especially with Prescott confirmed to play, but defensive issues haven’t gone away. Asking them to create separation late in a meaningless game is risky. They have also failed to cover in their last 4 games. New York, on the other hand, is playing for pride and jobs. Interim coach Mike Kafka and his staff need strong tape, and that usually leads to max effort.

The Giants’ offense has shown some life with Dart, and divisional games rarely come easy. Dallas can still extend its dominance in the series, but I don’t need them to roll. Give me the Giants +3.5, with the Cowboys surviving in a tight one.

BET OVER 49.5 (-115).

The Over stands out when Dallas faces New York. Five of the last 7 meetings have gone over the total, and recent trends only strengthen the case. The Over is 8-2 in the Giants’ last 10 games and 7-2-1 in the Cowboys’ last 10. Both teams rank top 5 in plays per game, creating a fast-paced environment with added scoring chances. Dallas owns one of the NFL’s top offenses at 28.4 points per game, making a higher-scoring outcome likely.
