HALTOM CITY – Margaret Ann Walker peacefully passed away at home on October 11, 2025, at the age of 81. Ann was born on February 24, 1944, in Port St. Joe, Florida, to the late Walter Gardner and Margaret Landry. She worked for Merchants and Marine Bank for 20 plus years. Known to her family as Mawmaw, her joy was having all of her family together in one place to enjoy food, music and games. She was known for her seafood gumbo that she cooked from scratch and brought to each gathering for her family to enjoy. Her favorite of these gatherings was the annual vacation of the entire family to Destin where she played cornhole on the beach and listened to country music. She loved to dance and was always the first one on the dance floor. Now she is dancing and rejoicing in heaven. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her long-time stepfather, Ernie Landry. Her survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Jerry P. Walker; her children, Jay Walker, Candy (Michael) Jackson, Rob (Debby) Walker and Scott (Donna) Walker; grandchildren, Brooke (Rica Velasquez) Delmas, Russ Delmas, Luke (Emmy) Walker, Lindy Walker, Andrew (Mary Beth) Walker and Adam Walker; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Velasquez, Brooklyn Velasquez, Layla Delmas, Elaine Walker, Everly Walker and Wells Walker; and numerous other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Machphelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, where Ann and Jerry were long-time residents.
