Wake up, babe! A new popcorn bucket is here, and this time, you’re the one in charge!
Popcorn buckets are having a moment. From movie-themed collectibles to over-the-top designs that barely fit in a cup holder, it feels like every major release now comes with its own must-have bucket.
But this time, you don’t have to wait for the next blockbuster to score popcorn in something ridiculous. Cinemark is bringing back one of its most popular promotion- and it’s giving El Paso moviegoers permission to get creative.
Cinemark’s Bring Your Own Bucket Event Returns for National Popcorn Day
To celebrate National Popcorn Day, Cinemark is once again hosting its Bring Your Own Bucket event, letting popcorn lovers bring in their own containers and fill them up with fresh movie-theater popcorn for just $5.
The promotion runs January 18 and 19, giving fans two full days to take advantage of one of the best popcorn deals you’ll find at any theater.
No movie ticket is required to participate, making this a standalone popcorn run if that’s your thing.
Yes Almost Anything Can Be a Popcorn Bucket
If you’re wondering about rules, here’s the short version: get creative.
According to Cinemark, almost any container can be used as a popcorn bucket, with a standard limit of up to 400 ounces- roughly the equivalent of two extra-large popcorns.
That said, there’s one bucket getting extra attention this year: the five-gallon blue Lowe’s bucket, which Cinemark has noted comes with no size limit. Yes, that means someone is absolutely going to show up with one- and honestly, respect.
Okay, this is the smaller bucket, but you get the point!
