WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The 2026 Texas Conference for Employers (TCE) series is scheduled to begin January 9th and repeat monthly in locations across Texas until September of 2026.
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) conference provides resources and networking opportunities for businesses as well as up-to-date information on employment laws, earning education credits, and more. TWC’s Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers will host the event.
“The Texas Conference for Employers empowers small, medium, and large employers to boost their business legally, ethically, and responsibly,” said TWC Chairman Joe Esparza. “I encourage anyone involved in managing a company or recruiting employees to attend these events to gain practical, jargon-free employment law guidance from subject matter experts.”
Seminar topics are chosen based on questions sent in by Texas employers and are aimed at a wide variety of employers, including small business owners, HR specialists, and payroll managers. Generally, they will include the following topics:
Texas employment law and hiring legallyFederal and Texas wage and hour law Unemployment claims and appeals Independent contractors Employee policy handbooks Drug testingWorkplace privacy issuesBackground checks and social media
Those who attend the entire conference may be eligible for professional development credits, including up to 6 hours of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for attorneys and continuing education credit for certified public accountants and other qualified individuals.
