CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A vehicle crash involving juveniles in Corpus Christi has been connected to an armed robbery, according to police. The incident occurred early Thursday morning when officers attempted to stop a reckless driver, leading to a crash and the discovery of a stolen vehicle.
Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department observed a vehicle driving recklessly on December 18, 2025, at 12:32 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled, and officers lost sight of it. While searching the area, they found the vehicle crashed on the 800 block of 16th Street, having struck a parked car. The vehicle contained three juvenile occupants, two of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while one suffered serious injuries and later died at the hospital.
During the investigation, police received a report of an aggravated robbery where a vehicle was taken at gunpoint by juvenile males. Officers quickly determined that the crashed vehicle was the one stolen in the robbery. A firearm was also recovered from the vehicle, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
