Police at Buffalo Bayou (KPRC 2)
HOUSTON – Authorities are at Buffalo Bayou where a body was reportedly spotted in the water Tuesday.
The body was seen near Commerce Street and Fannin Street in downtown Houston.
The Houston Fire Department said they got the call at approximately 1:46 p.m.
Authorities are currently working to recover the body from the water.
This is the first case where a body has been recovered from Houston bayous in 2026. In 2025, 34 bodies were pulled from bayous across the Houston area.
