El Paso, TX (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Humane Society is emphasizing the importance of crate training for dogs, highlighting its benefits for both pets and their owners. A.J., a representative from the society, explained that crate training provides a safe space for dogs, preventing them from getting into trouble or harming themselves when left alone.
“Crate training is always going to be the best solution for a lot of spaces,” A.J. said. “It’s really just to keep them safe.”
Brownie, an 11-month-old lab shepherd mix, was introduced as an example of a dog that could benefit from crate training.
Despite his young age, Brownie is described as “super sweet” and “really good on a leash.” A.J. noted that crate training can also help dogs regulate their emotions and feel more at ease when alone. “It’s essentially like giving them their own room to go to,” A.J. said, adding that it helps dogs calm down and feel safe.
The El Paso Humane Society encourages dog owners to consider crate training as a positive experience for their pets, ensuring they have a secure and comforting environment.
