The Longhorns fell one spot to No. 22 in the updated AP Top 25 released Sunday after being surpassed by Cincinnati. In the Coaches Poll, Texas dropped from No. 17 to No. 18, leapfrogged by Virginia, which did not play this week. 

Texas, which travels to Mississippi State this week, has three ranked teams remaining on its schedule. Vanderbilt moved up to No. 10 after beating LSU, Georgia got a bump to No. 5 after topping Ole Miss and Texas A&M rose to No. 3 following a win over Arkansas.
