The state-ranked London boys topped Aransas Pass in one of the best Coastal Bend games of the season.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was a long day of high school hoops Tuesday with matinee action wrapping up the holiday break for some schools and an absolute classic to cap off the night between the London and Aransas Pass boys.
The third-ranked Pirates needed double overtime to top the Panthers on the road 96-91 and improve to 24-1 on the season. London remains unbeaten early on in district play, while the Panthers drop to 1-1 in 29-3A action.
It was also the second match-up between the two after facing off in Tuloso-Midway’s tournament last week, an 82-72 victory for the Pirates. The two teams will square off in district again on January 30th at London’s gym.Â
