HOUSTON – Houston Texans K Ka’imi Fairbairn has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the NFL announced today.

Fairbairn connected on all six of his field goal attempts (51, 48, 29, 43, 44, 43) in Houston’s 38-30 victory in Week 18, including a 43-yard game-winning field goal with 12 seconds remaining to give the Texans a 32-30 lead. His six field goals brought his season total to 44, tying David Akers (2011) for the most field goals made in a single season in NFL history.
