LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A driver died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on the Interstate 27 frontage road in New Deal, in northern Lubbock County.
The Department of Public Safety reports Wyatt Reese Golden, 20, of Amarillo, was driving southbound around 12:30 a.m. when he veered left off the frontage road, then overcorrected to the right, leading the SUV to roll. Golden died at the scene.
According to a news release from the DPS, Golden was not wearing a seat belt.
