Up-and-coming Dallas rapper Zeethewizard died Monday from injuries stemming from a shooting during the early hours of New Year’s Day, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The incident took place outside a Dallas strip club called Pink House.

Authorities responded to Empire Central near the northbound Stemmons Freeway around 3:45 a.m.

Once there, authorities discovered multiple shooting victims at the scene due to an altercation, police said.

As a result, five people, including Zeethewizard, born Zecquire Fields, 25, were transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a local hospital, per CBS News.

The rapper was in critical condition for a time before succumbing to his injuries on Monday.

Authorities didn’t share the conditions of the other victims.

A CBS News Texas crew at the scene reported seeing a heavy police presence in the parking lot of the club.

According to the Pink House’s Instagram page, it’s a new strip club in Dallas that was celebrating the grand opening of its new after-hours event on New Year’s Eve.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The Oak Cliff, Texas, native was part of a new Dallas movement of rappers promoting a more positive agenda over violence.

Fellow rapper HeadHuncho Amir turned to Instagram on Monday to pay tribute to his fallen friend.

He wrote, in part: “Since Kids To Grown Men We Been Locked I’m Lost For Words It Hurt Even Deeper When 20mins After I Got Done Praying That You Pull Thru I Get The Txt You Ain Make it. I’ll Never Let Them Forget About You To Know Zee Is To Know Bro Was A Cool Genuine, Loving, Respectful Person Ms Shannon Raised You Well You Ain Deserve That S–t Kid.
