Officials are saying there were shootings at two Halloween parties Friday night in the Houston area, resulting in four people going to hospitals with gunshot wounds.
Harris County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to a home in the northwest portion of the county where partygoers were said to be getting rowdy.
At the house not far from FM 249 at Fallbrook, at least two people had gotten into a fight, which led to gunfire and one person being taken to a hospital.
Also Friday night, three people were shot at a bigger party near East Mount Houston Rd. near Mesa Dr. in northwest Harris County.
There, witnesses said someone walked up to the party crowd and just opened fire, then ran away just after midnight.
Some witnesses said there may have been as many as 100 or more people at the gathering.
The three who were injured are said to have been in stable condition.
There are Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigations underway in both cases.
