So, did Diggs tell Jones what happened to cause the concussion?

“Oh he said what happened,” Jones said. “But again, and I’m not saying that didn’t happen, but a lot of times you’re not the best viewer of what happened to you.”

Jones did not reveal to reporters what the reasoning Diggs gave him was, but did say that the “bottom line is that I do expect him back,” and that he’s not expecting Diggs to be out much longer.

After the game, Schottenheimer was asked whether his intention was for Diggs to be a part of the team going forward whenever he’s cleared to return.

“Yeah, yeah,” Schottenheimer said. “I’m a Trevon fan. I’m excited to get him back, and hopefully it won’t be too long.”

In order for Diggs to return, he’ll need to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol. If he does, he could return to the field for next Sunday’s road game against the Denver Broncos.
