North Texas private schools signed up to take voucher money. Here’s where they are

Nearly 200 North Texas private schools have signed up to begin accepting public money under Texas’ new education savings account program, according to a map released by the state comptroller’s office.

Gov. Greg Abbott signed the school voucher-like program into law last year. Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, students will be able to receive up to $10,474 to put toward private school costs.

Across the state, 775 schools have signed up, including 195 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
