LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock County Commissioner Cary Shaw is recovering from a heart attack, he said in a social media post.
Shaw, who represents Precinct 3, said doctors inserted a stent to clear the problem. He said he is in great spirits and out of pain.
The northeast Lubbock County representative will miss Monday’s meeting but expects to attend the next one later this month while he makes a full recovery.
Shaw holds the seat formerly held by Gilbert Flores.
