Dallas police are investigating a homicide after a man died from injuries sustained during a dog attack inside a home, authorities said.
Police said officers were initially dispatched to Esmalda Drive before determining the attack occurred inside a residence on nearby Pringle Drive.
Officers responded to a “PD Request by Fire” call at approximately 3:00 p.m. on January 7 in the 4100 block of Esmalda Drive. During the preliminary investigation, police determined the victim had been attacked by a dog inside a residence in the 4100 block of Pringle Drive.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have not released details about the dog involved or whether any charges are pending.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide under case number 003219-2026, police said.
