HORIZON CITY, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Horizon City police arrested a man for burglary of a habitation.

Officers arrested 45-year-old Jorge Arturo Giron Bencomo.

The incident happened on Roslyn Drive. on Tuesday.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject and found Bencomo seated on a sidewalk near Tuckey Lane and Hadley Place.

The reporting party said Bencomo was seen exiting the residence.

Bencomo claimed he spent the night on the porch and entered the home through an unlocked door after receiving no response from the homeowner.

Inside, he used the shower and changed into the homeowner’s clothes.

Bencomo was taken into custody and booked at the El Paso County Jail with a $3,000 bond.

Horizon City Police urge residents to secure their homes and report suspicious activity.
