Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys took care of business against the Washington Commanders in Week 7 NFL action. All game long, the Cowboys took it to the Commanders and ended up winning the game by a final score of 44-22.

With the win, Dallas improved to 3-3-1 on the season. Just like that, the Cowboys are back in the NFC playoff conversation.

Throughout the course of the game, Prescott put together another dominant performance. He completed 21 of his 30 pass attempts for 264 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Truthfully, Prescott has been playing at an MVP-caliber level this season.

That being said, Prescott also reached a major milestone by beating Washington.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

As shared by Jon Machota of The Athletic, Prescott has surpassed NFL legend Tom Brady for the highest win percentage against division opponents since 1970. He has won 79.1 percent of those games, with Brady sitting at 78.4 percent. Patrick Mahomes is the leader in the category at 85.4 percent.

Needless to say, that is a very important number that shows another layer at just how good Prescott has been.

Over the years, Prescott has become a quarterback who receives a lot of hate for no reason. Many overlook him, which is completely unwarranted. He has been one of the league’s consistent top quarterbacks.

Unfortunately, the 32-year-old quarterback has been unable to find a lot of success in the playoffs. That has hurt his legacy in Dallas. Perhaps this season will be the year that he can finally get through that struggle.

Against the Commanders, Prescott received a major reinforcement in the form of CeeDee Lamb. After missing time due to an ankle injury, Lamb returned to the field and caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. George Pickens chipped in four catches for 82 yards, while Jake Ferguson caught seven passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns.

It’s still early in the season. Anything could happen for the Cowboys, but they seem to be finding their groove.

Next up for Dallas will be a tough Week 8 matchup on the road against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. A win against the Broncos would put the Cowboys in a very good position.
