EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Traffic stop leads to the arrest of a 37-year-old driver after deputies say they found drugs.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Adrian Porras was arrested Tuesday night after he was pulled over at the 400 block of Peyton Drive (near Eastlake High School) and is facing drug and resisting arrest charges.

Porras was reportedly driving a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

During the traffic stop, deputies said they found drugs they identified as methamphetamine.

Then, as deputies started handcuffing Porras, they said he began to resist.

Eventually, deputies said they were able to control Porras and took him to the El Paso County Downtown Jail, where he was jailed under a total bond of $6,000.

According to jail records, as of Friday afternoon, Porras remains in jail.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office shared bodycam footage of the arrest.
