EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Police identified the two people who were killed after a crash on Paisano Street in west El Paso on Sunday.

Police responded to the call came at 5:54 p.m.

The people who died were identified as 30-year-old Axel Evarado Iquic-Sequen of Guatemala and 22-year-old Manuel Mateo Lopez from Mexico.

Officials said Border Patrol agents began a pursuit when they saw multiple people running from the border wall and getting into an Infiniti G37.

The car fled on Paisano, made a U-turn, and headed west at a high rate of speed, officials said.

Officials said the driver failed to make a curve and lost control, hit the curb and a light pole and caused the car to flip.

There were a total of seven people in the vehicle.

Two died, and all the others were taken to the hospital.

The other passengers were also from Guatemala and Honduras.

The driver was an 18-year-old and resident of El Paso.
