EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two people were arrested on Saturday, Jan. 3, for initiating a fight and assaulting four women in a far East El Paso home on Christmas Day, according to the El Paso Police Department (EPPD).

At 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, officers responded to an assault in progress at a home in the 13000 block of Alfredo Apodaca Drive.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects, identified as 32-year-old Joshua Aaron Theocharides and 32-year-old Raquel Maria Cazares, arrived and initiated an altercation with four women victims — ages between 23 and 27 years old — outside the home, according to EPPD.

During the incident, Cazares assaulted one of the victims, and Theocharides pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victims, and struck them with the weapon before they fled, EPPD added.

Investigators were able to identify both suspects and obtain arrest warrants. Around two weeks later, they were both arrested.

Cazares was charged with assault causing bodily injury, and Theocharides was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They were both booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
