Thunderstorms are expected across much of Southeast Texas as a cold front approaches the region Friday.
As of 3 p.m., a few scattered thunderstorms have developed in Harris, Montgomery and Liberty counties.
Other storms are expected to fire up ahead of the front, with the heaviest storms expected north of Houston during the day before transitioning into the city this evening.
Some of the storms could be strong to severe. The main threats with any stronger storms will be damaging winds and hail.
