LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock man will serve more than 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting two children.
Anthony Barboza pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child Friday morning. Court records show he attacked one child in October 2020 and another in July 2021.
Judge Freitag accepted the plea deal, which includes 25 years of prison time. Barbosa received credit for nearly three years already served in jail.
After sentencing, a victim told the court they had spent the last few years terrified about what Barbosa did to them and said they can sleep better at night knowing he will stay locked up.
