Two young women walked away with crowns after separate competitions Saturday night.
Twenty-one young women took center stage Saturday night at Tuloso-Midway High School, competing for the title of 2026 Queen of the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show.

Contestants were evaluated on confidence, communication skills, and their ability to advocate for agriculture which is a core mission of the Junior Livestock Show.
“Confidence and being true to yourself, trying to show the judges that you are the American girl and that you are just confident in yourself and that you can advocate for agriculture,” said Leighton Lawhon the outgoing 2025 NCJLS Queen.
Chloe Delgado was named the winner of the 2026 title. Delgado, representing Bishop 4-H, was crowned the new queen.
Another queen was also crowned Saturday night at the San Patricio and Aransas County A&H Show in Sinton. Rebecca Wilson, a senior from Sinton, took home the title. Wilson shows roosters and also competed in the homemaking competition.
