EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A large water main break in Northeast El Paso has left a significant area with low or no water pressure Sunday morning.

El Paso Water crews are on scene repairing a ruptured 36-inch main on Antonio Avenue near the intersection of Dyer Street and Ruth Venable Road.

Due to the size of the main, repairs are expected to take several hours.

Residents and businesses in the surrounding area are reporting outages or significantly reduced water pressure.

Crews are working to isolate the break and restore service as quickly as possible.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible, as repair work may impact traffic.
