EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Transmountain Road Sunday afternoon, prompting an air medical helicopter (FIRESTAR) to land directly on the roadway to render aid.
The call came in at 3:16 a.m. for a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Loop 375 at the Transmountain summit.
El Paso Fire Department’s Air Medical helicopter, Firestar, landed at the scene to provide critical care. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
