One of the Alabama Crimson Tide‘s top overall NCAA transfer portal targets announced his decision.
Cam Coleman, a transfer wide receiver from Auburn, committed to the Texas Longhorns, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Coleman had visited Alabama, Texas A&M and Texas Tech prior to committing to the Longhorns, according to reports.
The former Auburn wide receiver was considered one of the top players and the top wide receiver in the transfer portal this cycle, per 247Sports. He is entering his junior season. Coleman appeared in 23 total games during his time at Auburn, with which the former top recruit hauled in 93 receptions for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Following the commitment of Coleman to Texas, Alabama’s 2026 wide receiver room still has five players on the roster, headlined by the returning Ryan Williams and Lotzeir Brooks.
