EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) —

El Paso Water officials and city leaders will hold a press conference on Monday at 3 p.m. following the major water main break that happened on Sunday.
Leaders and officials are set to provide an update.
The press conference will be held at the El Paso Regional Communications Center, located at 6055 Threadgill Ave.
The water main break near the intersection of Girl Scout and Transmountain in Northeast El Paso has left approximately 38,000 customers and 100,000 people without water service.
The incident, which occurred Sunday morning, has affected residents in Northeast and parts of Central El Paso.
Full restoration of water service could take up to 72 hours, and EPWater is urging residents and businesses to minimize water use and suspend all non-essential activities during this period.
Customers who currently have water may still experience outages as crews work to refill reservoirs and stabilize the system.
Due to low water pressure and drained reservoirs, EPWater has issued a precautionary boil water notice.
