This year’s 130th annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo will bring authentic Western lifestyle starting Friday through Feb. 7 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center.

The 23-day experience will include livestock and horse shows, kid-friendly activities, exhibits, live music, carnival midway, shopping, food and more, according to the website.

Matt Brockman, communications director for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, said event is a perfect way for people to experience Fort Worth’s Western culture in a relaxed and fun setting.

From family-friendly to evening and night activities to celebrating with a spouse, significant other or family, the stock show will offer a variety of performances following the events and competitions.

Apart from animal shows and competitions, attendees can also see shooting shows, a wine competition, an art contest and more. All competitions vary in date and time, but events usually start between 7:30 and 9 a.m. There will also be 25 rodeo performances with live music before and after each performance at the Dickies Arena, Brockman said.

“We like to say here at the Fort Worth Stock Show that this thing is legendary, and it is,” he said. “It connects you to what makes Fort Worth unique and fun, and it connects you to our heritage.”

Tickets for general admission are $15 for adults, $8 for children between 6 and 16 years old and free for children under 5. Hours for the stock show grounds are 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.

Guest parking is $20 with ADA parking available in all lots.

Brockman said attendees should wear comfortable clothing, arrive early to find good parking and, if possible, go during a weekday to avoid big crowds. Additionally, he said weekday rodeo tickets tend to be less expensive.

Vendors, restaurants, cafes and more will offer a variety of foods from burgers, tacos, pizza, barbecue and turkey legs to desserts like funnel cake and cotton candy.

More information about the event’s schedule, parking, tickets, entertainment and food is available on the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo website.
