The work week in North Texas on Monday starts with a risk of wildfires but the chance for rain will increase later in the week.
The dry and breezy conditions on Monday and Tuesday will bring an elevated threat of wildfires, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.
“Ways to help prevent fires include avoiding outdoor burning, not parking or driving over tall grass, and never tossing lit cigarettes,” information on the NWS website said.
Monday is expected to be sunny with a high near 88 and south winds of 15 to 20 mph, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph. The temperatures is expected to drop to the lower 60s over night.
