The driver who hit the teen stayed at the scene.
HOUSTON — An 18-year-old was struck and killed while he was walking on the Sam Houston Parkway Sunday night, according to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office in a Facebook post.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened near a toll booth on the Sam Houston Parkway at Briar Forest at around 11:30 p.m.
Constable Terry Allbritton’s deputies were working the scene and conducting an investigation into the incident. The driver involved in the accident remained on scene and is cooperating with Precinct 5’s investigation.
At this point, we don’t know why the teen was walking on the tollway.  As soon as we know more, we’ll post it here.
