MOTLEY COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) – A man is dead and a woman is injured after a crash along Highway 70 just south of Roaring Springs Sunday night.
The crash occurred about an hour northeast of Lubbock.
DPS reports 25-year-old Joclynne Clarkston-Smith of Seminole rear-ended a pickup truck. Troopers say the pickup was stopped in the middle of the highway with its lights turned off.
Clarkston-Smith was seriously hurt.
The driver of the pickup, 71-year-old Richard Piper of Roaring Springs, died at the hospital in Crosbyton.
