El Paso Water is on day three of working to repair a massive water main break impacting Northeast El Paso and parts of Central El Paso and while some homes have water, others are still waiting and wondering how long they’ll have to wait.
During a Monday news conference, El Paso Water asked all customers to minimize water use while repairs continue. Officials also encouraged residents to check on neighbors and help anyone who may need assistance. El Paso Water continues to remind customers that they will be notified once the water is safe to drink again.
El Paso ISD confirmed four campuses will remain closed Tuesday: Canyon Hills Middle School, Navarrette Middle School, Clendenin Elementary, and Park Elementary. El Paso Community College also announced its Transmountain Campus will remain closed Tuesday.

Questions El Pasoans Are Asking And Answers From EP Water:
Many residents turned to Facebook with questions about daily water use and El Paso Water responded:
Can we wash clothes?
El Paso Water says there are no restrictions on laundry.
Can we wash dishes?
Yes. El Paso Water says dishes can be washed using hot, soapy water, but should be rinsed with boiled water.
Do filtration systems replace boiling?
No. El Paso Water says customers should still boil water until the notice is lifted.
Can the lost water be recovered? Are sinkholes a concern?
El Paso Water says recovered water flows into stormwater systems and back to treatment plants, and the saturated ground is not in a drivable area.
